Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Today started out great with Braxton and I meeting our friend Erin & her 15 month old daughter Ruby Rose at Sovereign Grounds (a cool coffee shop with an indoor play room for kids!). Ruby is adorable and it was fun to have the kids play together.

Braxton and I then went home where he tripped and fell bashing his forehead into the corner of the wall. I took Braxton to Urgent Care (Brock wanted to save the $25 by sewing the wound himself...). Braxton bled all over the place and got stitches that look like shoelaces. Brock gave him the new nickname of "Lace Face". MLK Day started out great but after the trip to Urgent Care overall it wasn't much of a holiday for Braxton this year.

  1. Poor little guy. He looks about all in. Lace Face, indeed! Gma Debbie

  2. Poor lil' guy! And poor you, too. I hope he feels better quickly. It'll heal up nice. Jack got a big gash near his eye at that age, but it wasn't long enough to suture and of course-- he has a scar. Lace Face is a cutie pie with or without stitches. :)

  3. Poor Lace Face. He looks exhausted. And poor you with a trip to Urgent Care! I'm glad that he's ultimately okay. Everyone needs a battle scar or two. Even if all they fought was a wall. -Auntie Dori

  4. Good call taking him to Urgent Care instead of letting Brock do it! Glad everyone is okay, he does look so worn out in that picture though, poor baby. RM

  5. Trav and Ti would think "that's a good one, it will leave a great boy scar." To me personally, it looks like it really hurts!!! Love, DE
