Tuckered Out

Most nights Braxton is so tuckered out from a hard day of playing that he is super sleepy and really mellow. Here is a video of he and Brock last night...

Park Photos

The weather is getting warmer in Minnesota and Braxton LOVES playing at the park! Whenever you are ready to go outside you just need to ask Braxton, "where are your socks?" He will run to his toybox (yes...strangly there are always socks in his toybox) to get socks and then run to the front door. He loves going outside (and its getting harder to snap photos of him because he's always on the move)!

Praying!

My college roomie Lisa has been cancer free for 4 years and she found out this weekend that the cancer has returned. We pray fervently for Lisa, for her husband Jason, and son Jack. We pray God's peace and strength for her and her family. We ask all of you to pray for her too!

Red Bandana

My friend Katie from work let me borrow her red bandana....so I took a few "bad to the bone" photos of Braxton. Adorable or what? And...here's a new video of Braxton and Brock playing.

A Cold Lesson

Today Braxton and I played in the yard (he loves sitting on the big rock) and went to the park. I knew the park looked wet, so I thought I'd be smart and carry Braxton while walking along the retaining wall to the swingset. When we were a few feet from the swings I stepped off the retaining wall. Somehow, it had not crossed my mind that I should check and see how deep the water was. In my mind, the water was 2-3 inches deep. In reality, I was standing in 18 inches of freezing icewater (I thank God I didn't drop Braxton from the cold shock!). Since I was already wet and we were already at the swingset I stuck Braxton in a swing, pushed him for about a minute and a half, snapped 2 photos, and then quickly (in very cold & soggy sloshing tennis shoes) left the park. Yikes, what a cold lesson that was!

Lazy Saturday

Braxton and I had a lazy Saturday. Only one task to accomplish for the day...grocery shopping. The sun was out today and we were happy for it! After our shopping trip Braxton got to play outside in his new red boots from Grandma. Here are five photos of our day.

Photo 1: The new forward facing carseat. Brax kicking his red boots so they shine in the sun. Three socks on the seat next to him (during most car trips he pulls off his socks).

Photo 2: Brax in his signature orange hat being pushed past the oranges at the grocery store. You gotta love that face...taking everything in.

Photo 3: A smile in the sunshine and snowbanks in the background.

Photo 4: Braxton looking at the sky.

Photo 5: Sitting in the road touching little rocks, red boots, and shadows.

Teeth, Milk & Grandma

This week we implemented two changes at the house: brushing Braxton's teeth and switching to Whole Milk. No more formula. No more mixing. (Babies usually switch to milk around their first birthday, but since Brax was a preemie the doctors suggested to wait an extra month or two before we switched him over to milk). So far Braxton seems to be adapting to both of these changes perfectly.

On Friday we met my mom at Perkin's for lunch. Aren't they cute?
