Playdate with Ruby

Today Braxton and I were invited for a playdate with my friend Erin and her daughter Ruby.  First we went to the coffee shop Soverign Grounds which has a big kids playroom in it (and couches for the parents to lounge on) and then we went had lunch at their house, played with playdough and jumped on the trampoline.  Super fun!   

 

Backyard Adventure

This morning I bundled Braxton up and let him play in the backyard. He had so much fun! He ran into the playhouse, played on the slide, ate carrots, slid down the hill, and hung out in the swing. We also saw two ducks and two robins in our front yard - welcome spring!

Duck Pond & Playground

Everyone is healthy at our house again! Yesterday we bundled up and took our first spring walk together to the duck pond and playground by our house. We collected sticks along the way to throw into the pond. It was so nice to be outside in the sun - and Braxton LOVED the blue twirly slide!

 

It's not dance fever...

Braxton's got the fever...and unfortunately it is not dance fever.  For EIGHT days Brax has had a fever of 102-103 degrees.  He's been to the doctor twice this week and the fever continues...and after strep tests, blood tests, a neck Xray which showed swelling, and a steroid shot to help open his airways we are left with the diagnosis of a "prolonged virus" and told to return to the doctor Monday if he still has a fever because he is "prime to develop pneumonia or bronchitis."  It has been a very long week of Brock and I trading off calling in sick to work to take care of Brax. We just want our baby boy to feel better!

Friday night while Brock put Braxton in pajamas I overheard them talking...

Brock:    What's your name?
Brax:      Braxton Konrad.
Brock:    What's daddy's name?
Brax:      Daddy Konrad.

Cunningham Photos

One of my favorite things that happened this week was the hanging of new photos.  Last month my sister Dori did a special photo shoot in Missouri with my sister Denise, her husband Brandon, Brittney, Devin and Konnor.  I LOVE them (not only the photos but the photographer too!)  You can see our newly framed photos in these shots of Brax playing with his Elmo puzzle.

Here are the photos close-up (plus a few extra).  Dori took several funny photos and then several serious photos.  So fun!

Grandparents

This weekend Braxton and I drove up to Sandstone to visit the grandparents.  We stayed with Grandma Debbie and also drove to visit Grandpa Dwaine's farm.  While we were there we captured the grandparents on video...
