Braxton has started to practice using his vocal range and he likes to hear himself shout. He's good at shouting. And he can get loud. Here are two photos and a video featuring his "Minnesota Vikings Game Day Yell!"

9 months

We took several photos last week to capture the "9 month" mark and here are two of my favorites (Braxton also had professional photos taken while Dori was visiting and I am really excited to pick them up next week!)

Dori Visits

My sister Dori came from Missouri to visit us this weekend. She was able to see Braxton in his climbing stage (climbing chairs, tables, stools, etc.) and watch him fall down repeatedly. Here is a photo of the two playing...and a video of Braxton striking a pose.

Kicked Out!

After two months of searching, interviewing, and touring Braxton started his new in-home daycare on Tuesday. And then shockingly...only one day later he got kicked out. Can you believe that? After only a day and a half he got kicked out of the new daycare! How rediculous! And do you know why he got kicked out? Well...the direct quotes were: "it's not working because he is not eating or sleeping very well" followed by "it breaks my heart to see him so upset" and finally "I could hold him all afternoon to stop him from crying but it wouldn't be fair to the other kids." Good Lord! How retarded! I'm no day care professional but I know that it takes more than a day and a half for a 9 month old to adjust to a new daycare. The fact that he got kicked out made us feel like aweful parents or that we have spoiled him somehow. We finally just had to tell ourselves, "the new daycare lady's lack of commitment to taking care of Braxton does not mean that we are failing as parents". I still can't believe he got kicked out after only a day and a half...does anyone else think that is crazy?

Oh...and Braxton turned 9 months this week and he started clapping his hands for the first time. Here are a few new photos of our beloved troublemaker.

First Snow

It snowed overnight! This morning I got Braxton bundled up and for the very first time he was able to play in the snow.

Wagon Ride

Last night after work we drove to Brooklyn Park to visit my dad & Celia's moving sale (they will move to Sandstone by Thanksgiving). My dad had a red antique Radio Flyer wagon that he gave us! Here is a video of Braxton's first wagon ride.

Babbling Contest

...and the contest is over. Who does Braxton love the most? This question is easily answered by playing the game every new parent loves: "baby's first words". Will his first babbling sounds be "Da-Da" or will "Ma-Ma" win the prize? The video is the proof. (I love the way he crinkles up his nose as he is babbling!)

Standing Up!

Braxton loves bathtime. Here is the latest video of him trying to figure out the water faucet. Where does the water come from? Where does it go? How can I catch it? Ahhh...the mysteries of life. The second video shows him using the bathtub to stand up all by himself!
