Two Coats

Today Braxton and I went shopping while Brock was at work. We needed to get Braxton a winter coat before the snow starts flying. We went to the store Once Upon a Child where we got a brand new 12 month (never, ever been worn by anyone else ever, ever) coat (with a double zipper and several fancy "extra warmth" features for only $8!) which perfectly matches his orange hat and mittens. So--of course, once we got home I had to have Braxton model the new coat. And, while we were at it, I pulled out the little 12 month Leather Jacket (the perfect jacket for Autumn!) that my cousins in Phoenix bought him. Here are the two photos of Braxton being silly in the coats. (It is a miracle that he was feeling so aweful yesterday and is all smiles and giggles today. Thank goodness! The way he was acting yesterday I thought my head was going to explode!)

First Tooth!

Today Braxton was a mess...crabby, drooling, and obnoxious. He was teething something fierce and nothing could distract him from it. We somehow survived the day (but had to miss the highly anticipated Oktoberfest Party at our friend's house--sorry Erin!) and this evening Braxton's first little tooth popped out. Thank goodness! Here is a photo of him chewing on an ice pack (yes, technically ice packs such as the one in the photo are full of poison. We wiped this one down and checked it for leaks prior to handing it to the baby. Desperate times call for desperate measures when all the baby chew toys have thawed out and aren't re-freezing fast enough!).

Fun Times

Brock and I are really good at taking photos & videos of Braxton to capture the "precious moments of childhood". But--we hardly have any photos of the three of us all together. Tonight, we snapped this family photo while I was holding the camera. It's a little off center, but it captures the fun moment. Oh yes, and here is a new video.

Laundry & Water Bottles

Today I snapped this photo of Braxton playing in the laundry basket. Also, here is a new video of Braxton crawling on the deck. Braxton loves crawling and chasing water bottles!

Busy Weekend

This weekend was a busy one with Dor visiting one last time before her flight home to California. Also, Monday morning brought unscheduled work meetings for Diane which made us scramble for last-minute daycare. Luckily Grandma Debbie came to watch Braxton (luckily she had a broadcasting gig nearby!)

First Day Crawling 9/9/09

Braxton started crawling today (our little baby is growing up!) I don't think anyone would call it graceful at this point - but if you put a toy out of his reach he can now crawl, wiggle and plop his way in a forward motion to get it. Here are two short videos to show his new crawling moves.

Labor Day

Today Braxton and I went for a walk, played with the water hose, and spent a lot of time hanging out on the deck. When Brock gets home from work this afternoon we plan to go for a drive!

Giggling and Scooting

Braxton is starting to giggle Here is a video that shows a bit of his laugh and his constant drooling. In this video his laugh sounds more high-pitched than normal (I prefer his deep belly laughs myself) but its the best we have caught on video to date.

How is the crawling going? He isn't quite crawling yet, but he is working very hard to learn. Here is a video of his most recent crawling practice.

Aunt Dor

Brock's sister Doirean has been visiting from California. It has been fun to see her!
