Sunshine & Baseball

This week we spent time hanging out in the sun on the deck and Braxton wore his Uncle Brandon's St. Louis Cardinals hat for a while.

Later that evening Brock and Brandon were able to go to the Twin Stadium to see a ballgame.  They had a blast!

Dentist and Preschool Screening

This week we accomplished two major things - Braxton's first dentist visit and his Pre-School screening appointment. Brock and I both took Braxton to his pre-school screening, then visited the "castle park" and walked around Farmington (photo with totem pole).  He's on track to start school September 2014.

One funny story about his screening appointment, after testing his hearing and vision the nurse asked Braxton to "stand up and hop on one foot".  So Braxton stood up and walked over to the nurse and hopped on her foot. It was so funny (and SO Braxton!)

The dentist appointment went well too.  He went to "Children's Dental" and they gave him sunglasses to wear so dentist's light wouldn't be too bright when he looked in Braxton's mouth.  No cavities - and rewarded by a trip to the park.

How to Survive a Rainy Day

By Braxton

1.  First step to surviving a rainy day - make a paper fake mustache and say CHEESE!

2.  Next find some blankets and play "hide there is a dinosaur coming!" or "here comes the alligator!" This can be an hour of fun - and leads to lots of giggles!  However, try to stay away from the game "You Kissed the Smelly Sock!"...because it can get stinky.

3.  To see the world from someone else's perspective, put on a pair of someones glasses.  Don't daddy's glasses make me look like I'm 8 years old?!!

4. Try memorizing a Bible verse.  (Here is a video of me reciting Proverbs 3:5).

5.  Always end the day by reading a good Bible story (ours was David and Goliath so daddy had to teach me how to use a slingshot before bed).

And one final bedtime necessity - sleep with a "tent" over your bed...just because its fun!
