Vacation Week - Part Two

We took Braxton to the beach for the first time. We left the house at 9am so that the sunshine wouldn't be so overwhelmingly bright for our babe.

Vacation Week - Part One

Vacation week is finally here! Brock and I both took a week of vacation and we have been enjoying it! Here are two photos of Braxton playing on my mom's deck.

This next picture shows Braxton asleep in the middle of a long table. Braxton went to church for the first time this weekend and afterwards we attended the church picnic...where my mom laid him down on the table for a nap. I was so embarrassed--but he did sleep well.

The photo on the left shows Braxton at a restaurant and for the very first time--sitting in big boy high chair. And--the photo on the right is a big pile of green beans that we got from Brent & Teresa. This is a photo of Braxton helping as we cut, blanched and froze the beans.

Funky Quilt

I just have to tell you all about the coolest quilt ever that my friend Rachel (from Missouri) made for Braxton. Here are two photos of it -- the green rectangles have jumping frogs on them and the stitch she used is a heart stitch that is hard to describe but very cool. Thank you Rachel!!!!

Professional Photos

We had professional photos taken of Braxton last week to celebrate his new 6-month old status. He wasn't sure what to think about the photographer - but the photos came out well.

Missouri Visitors

Brittney, Devin, Konnor, Brandon and my sister Denise all came to visit us yesterday. The kids were very excited to see Braxton!

Swinging at the Park

We rode our bikes to the park today and took Braxton on the swings for the very first time. He loved it - and we took a few photos and a video (*note to self: when taking a video of a child swinging--the video may make you queezy-sick when you rewatch it later).

Baby on the Move

This week we bought a new toy--a baby bike cart! It has been fun for Brock and I to ride bikes again (Braxton has already logged in 4 hours of biking.) Braxton loves it and so do we!

Six Months Old

Braxton will be 6-months old tomorrow! To celebrate--we took a few photos at home. Here are two of our favorites:

I love daddy video

Brock and I got to laughing really hard yesterday as Brock put words into Braxton's mouth. Here is a video of Brock doing his rendition of "I love my Daddy so much"

Braxton Rolled Over!!!

Today Braxton rolled over for the first time! I watched him do it once and then grabbed the camera to catch it on video.

Serious Conversation

After eating his bottle for lunch, Braxton started chatting. Doesn't he look serious!

Fourth of July Parade

Braxton and I went to a 4th of July parade today while Brock was at work. Braxton slept through nearly the entire parade - he even got hit in the head with a piece of Laffy Taffy without waking up. Here's a short video as the fire trucks pass by.

Also...here is a photo I shot of Braxton once we got home. He was covered in political stickers that were passed out before the parade started (politicians LOVE babies!)
