Video Singing and Giggling

Brock and I regularly sing to Braxton--but today as I sang "Leaving on a Jet Plane" to the baby he started smiling and giggling. All day long when Braxton started to get cranky I'd sing that song and he'd smile again. Here is a video of it.

First Day in Big Boy Clothes

Today I cleared out Braxton's newborn-3 month clothes and moved in the 3-6 month clothes (They are still a tad big, but won't be for long). I put Braxton in jeans for the first time...and he looked like such a little man!

Braxton is becoming more interactive these days. We put a mirror by his changing table and then shot this video of him in front of it.

A visit from Azra and family

Our Bosnian friends came to our house to visit and meet the baby. It was so fun to see them (their second grade son Armin loved watching the baby!)

Date Night

Brock and I had our first night away from Braxton this week. We drove up to Sandstone to drop off the baby at my mom's house and then spent the night at the casino hotel in Hinckley. We had fun walking around, playing the nickel slots (we won $20) and swimming.

Visiting with Aunt Jan & Rachel

My cousin Rachel from Phoenix came to MN this week for a visit. Braxton and I had a fun time hanging out with her and my Aunt Jan. Just look at how Braxton was smiling at Rachel!

Video Braxton's new trick

Braxton learned to stick his tongue out yesterday and he's getting quite good at it. Here is a video of him practing.

Video Patty Cake

Last night Brock spent time bonding with Braxton over the song Patty Cake. Brock sang the song at least six times and at the end every time Braxton had a big smile on his face. Here is a video of the final Patty Cake song (sorry the video is sideways--I couldn't figure out how to turn it).

Dori & Denise visit from Missouri

My sisters Dori and Denise came to visit us this week. It was so much fun watching them cuddle and hold Braxton (and dress him up in his new St. Louis Cardinals outfit which was given to him by his little cousins Brittney, Devin and Konnor). Mid-week Dori and I took Braxton on his first Road Trip to Sandstone to stay at Grandma Debbie's house. What a fun week we all had!

Grandma Takes the Night Shift

To help Brock & I catch up on some much needed sleep, my mom came to our house and spent 3 days taking the "night shift feedings". It was such a help to us - and gave Braxton valuable bonding time with his favorite grandma. Also--the picture above shows off the fact that we put shoes on Braxton for the first time this week.
